Family owned and operated, NEC Signage + Architectural Products has served as one of the premier providers in the manufacturing, installation and servicing of signs since 1946.
From the iconic rotating sign perched high atop the Gulf Oil building in downtown Houston, to the grand Anheuser-Busch Flying Eagle welcoming visitors traveling west on I-10. NEC marked the landscape that is the fourth largest city in the United States.
Continuing to do so with projects such as the stainless rings that adorn the skies in the Galleria Area, and signage identifying Minute Maid Park.
Sherman H. Hink, P.E. purchased NEC in 1972 from his father-in-law Stanley Fitzgerald. After purchasing the company, Sherman expanded the business by adding new divisions.
The Lighting Maintenance division which for many years exclusively serviced the Houston Airport System at IAH. The Custom Shelter division beginning with the City of Houston and reaching out to areas such as Austin Texas, Tempe Arizona and beyond.
In 2001, he began the interior graphics division to produce ADA compliant signage well as high-end interior, exterior, and wayfinding signs.
Over the years, NEC has grown and developed to keep up with the changing needs of their clients.
New techniques in architectural design, fabrication, and materials are in constant focus to keep a commitment to excellence, combined with the latest in modernized equipment and technology to provide our clients the highest standard of product and customer service.
NEC has become an all-inclusive sign and lighting manufacturer, installation & service provider, and specialty contractor.
